There may be a possibility of affecting electrolyte balance with
extended use of large doses of licorice, thus raising blood pressure.
The whole herb has constituents that counter this, but don't use
Licorice in hypertension, kidney disease or in pregnancy. It may also
interfere with calcium and potassium absorption in the body. Also not to
be used in case of osteoporosis |
